Town Center from Alban Viard, published by Ludicreations, is one of my favourite quick-ish solo games.
It plays 1-4 players and is a cross between an economic city building game and a spatial puzzle. The blocks represent different types of buldings (Red blocks are offices, Blue blocks are commercial centres) that each has an influence on the other.
This influence determines income, city growth and points scoring. Put a block in the right place and the money flows and points stack up. Put one in the wrong place and the city becomes that much more challenging to maintain.
There is quite a learning curve, however. I found it a struggle to take on board the spatial side of the game.
To help you decide if you would also enjoy Town Center, I have created a review turned how to play video.
Hope it helps.
